"Pop" coaches

In the early 1970s the Bundesbahn wanted to repaint their
rolling stock in a more friendly and lighter livery. Before the ocean
blue/beige livery came up, there were tests with the so called "Pop
livery".
The body of the coach was pebble grey(RAL 7032), the frame
black (RAL 9005). A coloured ribbon between the windows showed the type of
coach (similar to the current DBAG livery, but now the ribbon between the
windows shows the type of train).
The RAL number given below gives the colour of the ribbon
between the windows. Above the frame there was a narrow grey line (RAL 7032)
and above this line a second line of the same colour as the ribbon between the
windows.
No loco ever was painted in Pop livery.
